A Turbine Flow Meter is a precision instrument used to measure the flow rate of liquids and gases in a pipeline. It consists of a multi-bladed rotor (turbine) mounted inside a flow tube. As fluid passes through the meter, it causes the rotor to spin at a speed proportional to the fluid’s velocity. A magnetic pickup or sensor detects the rotational speed and converts it into an electrical signal, which is then translated into flow rate and total volume. Turbine flow meters are known for high accuracy, repeatability, and fast response, making them ideal for clean, low-viscosity fluids in industrial applications.
